90by30 recognizes the need to work with the other agencies and individuals in the community who care about the well-being of children and families. We don't want to reinvent the wheel - good work is already being done, and 90by30 is meant to complement and build on that, not replace it. As part of the asset mapping conducted in each region, we take an inventory of which services already exist and identify where gaps remain. 90by30's regional prevention plans address those gaps by coordinating existing resources and introducing new strategies to prevent abuse and neglect.
What does collaboration with 90by30 look like? It looks like Child Abuse Prevention Month, when more than fifteen agencies come together to "plant" pinwheel gardens across the county to raise awareness. It looks like the 2016 Conference, when 90by30 partnered with Lane Community College's Family Connections childcare program to present a two-day conference and institute on the theme of "Play Your Part." It looks like community members getting involved on reigonal teams or video projects; it looks like reaching out to our neighbors at local events and celebrations; it looks like a breakfast gathering in the Eugene area to solicit feedback from the faith, business, or health care communities on how best to prevent child abuse.
Agencies we've partnered with in recent years include:
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lane County
Christians as Family Advocates (CAFA)
City of Cottage Grove
Family Connections of Lane and Douglas Counties
Family Relief Nursery
Head Start of Lane County
Oregon Department of Human Services
Pearl Buck Center
