Laura grew up in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area. She moved to Oregon after high school in 2004 and graduated in psychology from Oregon State with a passion for behavioral health concerns and social justice. She became a certified substance abuse counselor working with homeless veterans and survivors of domestic violence in Corvallis before beginning the Portland State master's of social work distance program in Eugene. She is interning at 90by30 for her field placement and is eager to help with program development. She is also passionate about performing, visual, and literary arts and animals.
