On October 26, more than 180 community members, 90by30 team members, agency partners, and others passionate about reducing child abuse and neglect in Lane County gathered at Lane Community College's Center for Meeting and Learning for 90by30's sixth annual conference. This year's theme was "Finding and Making Connections," and a standout part of the day was watching people do just that at our lunchtime resource fair. 90by30's sixth annual Conference will take place at Lane Community College's Center for Meeting and Learning on October 26, and we'd love to have you there. This year's conference is designed to provide opportunities to learn, connect, and discover new strategies and concepts in child abuse prevention. Conference participants will include members of 90by30, nonprofit staff and volunteers, government workers, educators, students, and community members. Mary Gordon Keynotes Fifth Annual 90by30 Conference

October 14 marked the fifth year of the 90by30 Annual Conference, a chance for community members to come together and rededicate themselves to the goal of reducing child abuse in Lane County 90 percent by 2030. This year, we were honored to have Mary Gordon, founder and director of Roots of Empathy, as the keynote speaker. Gordon's evidence-based program increases empathy in elementary school children by bringing an infant and caregiver, along with a Roots of Empathy faciliator, into the classroom for multiple visits over the course of a year.
