Roots of Empathy Baby Celebration

10 Jun 2019
It doesn't get much cuter than the pictures from Saturday's Roots of Empathy Baby Celebration marking the end of program's first year in Lane County schools. It was a chance to say thank you to all the families, instructors, schools - and, of course, the babies - that made piloting Roots of Empathy so exciting. Thanks as well to Program Implementation Coordinator Sara Loveless, who planned this beautiful morning on the patio at Willamalane Adult Activity Center, and to MSW Intern Laura Clegg for the fantastic photography. We are excited to kick off the 2019-2020 school year in even more classrooms. If you're interested in helping to change the world child by child, we're still looking for...

Wrapping Up CAPM 2019

1 May 2019
Child Abuse Prevention Month 2019 is officially over, but we're excited to continue the momentum begun during CAPM to keep spreading the word about our new Know More website , which is full of ways to make a difference in the lives of families and kids every day of the year. All seven of 90by30's Lane County regions really went to town with promoting awarenress this year. From pinwheel gardens to painted store windows to articles in local papers, our Regional Leadership Teams really put in the work this year. Thank you everyone who dressed in blue, attended a 90by30 open house, or otherwise stood up for children during the key month of April!

Springfield's Prevention Planning - Complete!

29 Apr 2019
The Springfield Regional Team just wrapped up its Prevention Planning process - meaning all seven of our Lane County regions have reached that major milestone! Thanks to everyone who participated - and to Hamlin Middle School and United Way of Lane County for hosting the sessions. 100 Mile Bakery, Papa's Pizza, Round Table Pizza, and Ta Ra Rin Thai Cuisine all provided food for our hungry team and community members. The team is now writing its Prevention Plan, and excited to be moving into the next stage of making Springfield a safer, healthier place for kids and families.

Calling All Volunteers

24 Apr 2019

We're halfway through Child Abuse Prevention Month, and we are excited to officially launch 90by30's new website and media campaign, K(no)w More . When we know more, we can say no more to child abuse and neglect - and we can work together to keep kids safe, healthy, and nurtured. All of us want kids and youth in our community to be safe, but it’s not always clear what each of us can do to reduce child abuse and neglect. K(no)w More points to many practical steps we can all take. Whatever your role in the community – a friend, educator, business owner, a person of faith – there are ways you can support parents and kids in Lane County. There are things we can all do every day and resources we...
